Statement on COVID-19 and Summer 2020 Mission Trips

Dear Friends and Supporters of AMEN St. Louis,

Greetings of peace and love to you in this time of great fear and uncertainty for our communities, our country, and our world.  We hope you are doing what you need to take care of your mind, body and spirit in these scary times. Our hearts are with you as we figure out how to hold on to one another and lift each other up in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At AMEN, we have been in prayerful, discerning conversation about how best to plan for the upcoming spring and summer programming during a global health crisis.  We came to the hard but necessary decision to cancel all of our March programs and have been in communication with those teams.

As we look at the rest of the spring and the summer, it’s simply too soon for us to make a blanket decision.  New information is coming out every day, and things are changing rapidly.  As of today, we plan to continue with our April - August programming as usual.

We will monitor the situation over the next two weeks and update everyone about our summer plans on April 2nd.

If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to AMEN Director Annie Girresch at  Let’s talk!

In the Spirit,

AMEN St. Louis, Oak Hill Presbyterian Church Mission & Justice Committee, Annie Girresch, and Pastor Erin Counihan
