Typical Week

Your week may look something like this!

Each morning you would start your day with breakfast prepared by your group, pack your own lunches, share a devotional and hit the road for your mission of the day. Each afternoon return to AMEN-St. Louis, clean up, prepare meals and enjoy an evening activity. Our student intern and /or volunteer will be on hand to guide your group through your day.

Saturday: Check in, orientation with AMEN Staff members. Shop for supplies from local stores and  dine with your group at a local ethnic restaurant.

Sunday: Worship with Oak Hill at our 10:30 AM service, have lunch with your group, prepare meals for home delivery at Campus Kitchen at St. Louis University. Attend a Cardinal baseball game.

Monday: Spend the morning at Isaiah 58 Ministries stocking shelves or working on I-58 building projects and having a conversation about hunger and poverty issues. Monday evening, head back out to deliver meals and supplies with Churches on the Streets.

Tuesday: Your group will spend the day at St. Patrick Center. Join Oak Hill for Potluck Tuesdays at Great American Human Foosball as our guests.

Wednesday: Spend the morning volunteering at Lydia’s House. In the afternoon, meet with Pastor Erin to discuss issues of race and social justice. In the evening head over to the Botanical Gardens for a free concert.

Thursday: Spend the day working with Gateway Greening in their community gardens.

Friday: Spend the day working at St. Louis Area Foodbank. Hit up Food Truck Friday in the park for dinner.

Saturday: Depart for home.
